Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information Biomate Global LLC collects when you visit or buy from biomateglobal.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it in plain terms.
Who we are
Biomate Global LLC operates this store, selling Jamaican and Caribbean specialty goods. For anything in this policy, contact us at admin@biomateglobal.com. Email is the fastest way to reach us and the address to use for any request described below.
Information we collect
When you place an order
We collect your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and the contents of your order. We need this to take payment, calculate tax and shipping, deliver your order, and contact you about it.
When you create an account
We store your name, email address, password (encrypted, never readable by us), saved addresses, and order history. You can view and edit most of this yourself under My Account.
When you contact us
Our contact form collects your name, email address and message. We keep the message and our reply so we have a record of the conversation.
When you simply browse
Our server and security software record your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the time of your visit. Your cart contents and currency preference are stored so the site works as you move between pages.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay by card, your card details are sent directly to Stripe and entered in a secure frame hosted by them — we never see or store your full card number. Stripe holds the payment record and shares limited information with us, such as the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the payment succeeded. Stripe also provides Klarna and Affirm pay-over-time options; if you choose one, that provider handles your application under its own privacy policy. Stripe Tax calculates sales tax from your address.
If you pay by Zelle or direct bank transfer, we receive only the payment confirmation and whatever reference you include. We do not ask for and never store your bank login or account credentials.
Shipping and fulfilment
We share your name, delivery address, phone number and order contents with ShipStation and with the carrier handling your parcel, so that it can be labelled and delivered. They use this information only to deliver your order.
Cookies and analytics
Some cookies are necessary: they keep your cart, your login session and your currency choice working. The site will not function properly without them.
We also use Google Analytics, via Google Site Kit, to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they arrive from. This collects your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. It is used in aggregate to improve the store, not to identify you personally. You can opt out using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Security and spam prevention
Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile and Google reCAPTCHA to block automated submissions. These check your browser and IP address to decide whether you are a person, under Cloudflare’s and Google’s own privacy policies. Wordfence logs visits and blocked login attempts, including IP addresses, to protect the site from attack.
Order confirmations, shipping notices and replies to your enquiries are sent through our email provider, and a copy of what was sent is logged so we can confirm delivery. We only send marketing email if you have asked us to, and every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link.
Who else sees your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising. We share it only with the service providers who make the store work — our payment processor, our shipping and fulfilment tools, our email provider, our hosting and security providers, and our analytics provider — and only to the extent they need it to do that job. We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, currently seven years. Account details are kept until you ask us to close your account. Contact form messages are kept for two years. Security and server logs are kept for a short period, typically thirty days, and then discarded.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within thirty days. Deletion has limits: we cannot delete records we are legally required to keep, such as completed order and tax records.
If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information as the CCPA defines it. If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you the rights above plus the right to object to processing and to request your data in a portable format.
To make any of these requests, email admin@biomateglobal.com from the address on your account.
Children
This store is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site.
